HELP from Fran
Blaming and Shaming
when you point the finger and declare "It's all YOUR fault!" -- even when you're talking to yourself
This might sound like:
“I always mess things up.”
“Whenever HE is around, this happens.”
“She always makes me do/ feel…”
“Why can’t you ever do it right?”
“It’s all because of the government/ other group!”
You might find it helpful to switch this to:
This is not my fault, but
what can I LEARN from this?
Perhaps I need to try doing this when I am alone, or with a different coworker.
I feel aggitated around her.
I must be hanging onto some unrealistic expectations.
May I show you
a more effective way
to do this?
The government/ other group creates
a greater challenge
for me to excel at this.
