Good morning, Father!
THANK YOU for the soothing rain pittering on the roof as I type, barely audible above the droning of my laptop fan, lol. Thank you for helping us get so many things done outside yesterday before the rain started, including all my outdoor chores until tomorrow, heehee. THANK YOU for helping my Mate and I work on our good friend’s truck yesterday, and thank you for guiding us both in FINALLY getting the four bolts into their places. It was actually rather invigorating to struggle to get into a position where I could both see (sort of) and be able to push and pull and wriggle the gas tank into place, me all sprawled out beneath the jacked-up vehicle. My neck and shoulder are still a bit sore, but when that thing finally went into its designated position — after about an hour of trying everything either of us thought up — it was worth it, as the well-earned triumph bonded my Mate and I even more. He jumped up, whooping and exultant — which made me feel even more triumphant, lol. I must say, I really do tend to enjoy men’s toys and tasks more than women’s, for the most part! However, I actually enjoy nature and technology even more — a couple of traditionally gender-neutral fields, yet seemingly polar opposites, heehee. THANK YOU Lord, for the amazing and encouraging progress I’ve made on the NEW eNewsletter I’ve created (at last!): Fran’s FREEBIES & News. In one week, I will be sending out the FIRST issue to subscribers… I can’t wait! :D
Matthew 7:7-14 ERV
“Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.
Yes, whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the door opened for them.
“Do any of you have a son? If he asked for bread, would you give him a rock?
Or if he asked for a fish, would you give him a snake? Of course not!
You people are so bad, but you still know how to give good things to your children. So surely your heavenly Father will give good things to those who ask him.
“Do for others what you would want them to do for you. This is the meaning of the Law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets.
“You can enter true life only through the narrow gate. The gate to hell is very wide, and there is plenty of room on the road that leads there. Many people go that way.
But the gate that opens the way to true life is narrow. And the road that leads there is hard to follow. Only a few people find it.
Lord, I thank you for restoring to me my joy and excitement, after a few weeks of relative discouragement and distress. Of course, you have blessed me with an indomitable spirit and made me an incurable optimist, so even during this low time I had LOTS of joy compared to some folks… which makes me want even more to find ways to help people live more happy, more light, more FREE! But my words and my actions can do nothing. Every ounce of creativity and lightness that I possess comes from your Holy Spirit in me, made possible by the sacrifice and ongoing care of our awesome faithful Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, I thank you for all the amazing gifts you give to your children who sincerely seek you and (quite imperfectly) put their trust in you. I look forward to creating with the Creator today. Lead on!
I have used this little pic to represent my prayer blog since February 2017. It’s a good mix of things that are ME: nature, worship, surrendering self… plus a solid dose of modernity and technology, as I believe this little box-human is one of the Amazon-style graphics that were popular at the time that I found it. Not sure who created this pic, but I do believe I found it on Pixabay, where NO attribution or credit is needed. However, I am quite willing to be corrected if I am mistaken. 😉 🙂 😄 :O>
