Lord, this morning I am feeling a bit impatient and restless. I want so bad to get in a car that is mine, and go exploring through the backcountry roads — in Michigan! Reining in my hopes, closer to home, I want to just jump in a nice hot shower — in my own home, without having to wear shoes and use the NASTY public restroom here. Okay, so I give both of those strong desires over into your faithful Hands. There are plenty of things to be grateful for, that I have right now, this morning. Thank you for the lovely little wrens and juncos foraging on the ground outside my window, and all over the wood my Mate has stacked for our next BBQ (probably weeks away). Thank you for your awesome mercy upon myself and my Mate, healing all our little ailments and giving us an irreplaceable bond of acceptance, mutual respect, and unity that all humans seem to have a natural desire for. I am truly blessed, and I need nothing that I do not have already. THANK YOU for this windy, sunny morning, and please help me to do my work cheerfully and faithfully. Amen.
