Good morning, Father! THANK YOU for my new job and the ability to even write and do things on my laptop once the women I care for go to bed for the night. Honestly this job seems too easy for me to be making as much money as I am — more than I’ve ever made per hour, thus far! My Master’s degree is FINALLY paying off! :O :D
Still, it IS difficult to stay awake when my body is used to sleeping. But the people are nice, the area is clean and relatively quiet, there is nature outside and especially in front of where I park… and it is within 20 minutes of home, too! I get off work at 6am in the morning, and it is looking like I will be working two twelve-hour shifts, 6pm to 6am, then either have 5 days off in a row, or work some extra shifts, covering for people — being a “floater” or what I’ve been calling working “fill-ins”. With so many people still collecting unemployment instead of working, this company like most others is understaffed, so I may even get quite a bit of overtime — especially during summer when so many people take vacations. It is definitely worth it, making over sixteen dollars an hour — and over twenty-four dollars per hour overtime!! I think I could get spoiled doing this job, lol. Even better is that I ALSO have about 12-15 hours each weekend to dedicate to writing my life story, working on my website, learning languages — whatever I can manage to do while being sleepy yet having to stay awake. I imagine it will only get easier as time goes on — hopefully to the point where my body will EXPECT to stay up all night working, so I can TRULY count on having those hours to work and make progress on my own projects. The other staff just watch TV, from what I gather — but I was told I can bring in my laptop and work on it instead of watching TV — so I get paid good money to be here, working on my own things — can’t beat that!!
