Thank you, Father, for this nice rain outside my window — yet warm enough outside that I can have the window uncovered without feeling chilled, sitting right next to it. I measure the distance from my extended, typing right arm and the window pane… and it is 11 inches. It is 50 degrees right now, and it is supposed to stay more or less this temperature all day, dropping less than 10 degrees. I don’t think the wind is supposed to pick up either. Therefore, this is a GOOD day to sit at my desk and get a LOT of work done, without the distraction of wanting to go outside — yet with the privilege of getting to SEE the outside all day, and watch the varities within a 24+ hour rainstorm, heehee. Being just 11 inches away from the window in order to be at my laptop (can’t really move it without at least losing wifi due to the antenna
cord), I would be forced to cover the window with my curtain and insulating towel — IF it were a “normal” mid-January temperature. But instead it is lovely, awesome — SUCH a blessing!! THANK YOU, awesome Creator, for this lovely working weather! I won’t even have to cover my window later in the afternoon, when the sun would normally start blaring into my eyes (my window faces west) — another blessing! And just to round out the weather chatter… Yesterday it got up to 77 degrees here where I am, in Texas!! I actually felt a bit hot, opened all the windows and vents and the door! When I came back from shopping with a friend, my Mate had turned on the air conditioner — WOW! No wonder I keep comparing the Texas winter to the Michigan summer, lol. THANK YOU, Lord, for this amazing weather!
