DUTCH: First 48 VERBS

This set features 48 of the first verbs usually taught in any foreign language program.  NO conjugations, this set of 144 cards in 2 sizes is just for learning the vocabulary -- the verb in its infinitive form, along with its meaning.  However, a page of blank cards is included for extension activities, including conjugation practice.

The first set of 48 cards are each approximately 1/6 of a page and feature a photo and its corresponding infinitive verb.  These can be used as flashcards for memorizing verbs with their meanings, as prompts for creative writing or other composition exercises, or as calling cards for bingo and other games.

The other 96 cards are square and approximately 1/12 of a page.  The first of these sets of 48 square cards each features a cartoonish icon, and the other 48 each features the matching infinitive verb.  This allows for image-to-word matching.  Sorting and other activities can also be invented, and a BONUS page of blank cards in this size is provided, allowing instructors and/or learners to make their own cards to match.

The two sets of square cards are arranged on the pages in opposite order, left-to-right and right-to-left to enable printing double-sided cards, if desired.

Any of these card sets can also be used in classroom bulletin board displays, for conjugation practice, composition or speaking prompts, or as "word of the day" and other activities.

A BONUS PAGE OF CARDS of the larger 1/6 page size is included, in case alternative vocabulary and/or photos are desired.  For example, choose BESTUREN or RIJDEN, or include them both... Use the ONE card for WETEN and KENNEN, or choose to use TWO separate cards (or include all three cards meaning "to know").

Purchase of any two different First 48 VERBS products in this series will provide cards with the same pictures labeled with verbs in each of the two languages.
