Spooky School Event

“I arrive at a school for some kind of event. I am not attending school for once. I am with Mom and ambiguous sibling(s). The school is surrounded by a fence with a circular driveway in the front, and grass and bushes around the edges and in center of the driveway. I look around, exploring as if I am playing a videogame. The courtyard and front of the school look spooky and abandoned, old and crumbling and the foliage overgrown. I think it is overcast, as everything is an eerie faded grey. I go into corners of the building and fences with large patches of grass and I find a cube object on the ground. It’s the size of a Rubik’s cube, a bronze color, and each face has a black circular hollow on the center. It looks like some steampunk puzzlebox or invention. When I pick it up, it disappears, and in the corner of my vision, like in a videogame, a message pops up with an image of the cube and numbers next to it reading 1/8. I think “oooooo neato” and hunt for more. I manage to find 3 more spread around and hidden in the bushes, like an Easter egg hunt. During all this Mom remains at the head of the driveway, in front of large stairs to the school, like an NPC waiting for me to come talk to her.”
