~ Either type the common name you like best, or feel free to invent your own!

This response will be awarded full points automatically, but it can be reviewed and adjusted after submission.
For example:
I adore finding the early spring flowers of Skunk Cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus) hiding in the wetlands, even feeling a bit of a nostalgic bond for this species. I have honestly never SMELLED it, so why should I be limited by the name “haters” give it? LOL. 😉
While I do use the name Skunk Cabbage to more easily let others know to which species I am referring, the common name I prefer is The Humble Plant. 😀
[BTW, have you ever tried to DRAW the various shapes of The Humble Plant’s flowers?!]
Where are you most likely to see this bird species?
What is the main difference between this species and Spinus tristis, the American Goldfinch?
What is it called when this species shows up in very large numbers?
To which family does this species belong?
Which of these does this species MOST prefer to eat?
Were you already familiar with this species? Have you seen it “in the wild”? Do you THINK you might have seen it, but aren’t sure? If you (might) have seen it, how many were there? Where were you? What were the birds doing? What else did you observe?
