What do YOU call this species?
~ Either type the common name you like best, or feel free to invent your own!

This response will be awarded full points automatically, but it can be reviewed and adjusted after submission.
For example:
I adore finding the early spring flowers of Skunk Cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus) hiding in the wetlands, even feeling a bit of a nostalgic bond for this species. I have honestly never SMELLED it, so why should I be limited by the name “haters” give it? LOL. 😉
While I do use the name Skunk Cabbage to more easily let others know to which species I am referring, the common name I prefer is The Humble Plant. 😀
[BTW, have you ever tried to DRAW the various shapes of The Humble Plant’s flowers?!]
Where does this bird NOT live?
How do the male and female colorations differ in this species?
Which of these phrases should NOT be used to describe this bird’s typical sounds?
Which type of person once saw these birds as a threat, and wanted them destroyed?
To attract this bird to your property, you might plant which trees, or let which ones of these plants go to seed? (choose 4)
Were you already familiar with this species? Have you seen it “in the wild”? Do you THINK you might have seen it, but aren’t sure? If you (might) have seen it, how many were there? Where were you? What were the birds doing? What else did you observe?
